Ed Fella uses a Polaroid camera to take the majority of his images, this is indicated by the colours and textures of the images which also make the images have a vintage aspect to them. Once Ed captures the images he requires, he utilizes the part that he wants and shapes it into a square, he then creates a collage of usually nine squares of different images. Sometimes the images selected have a similar theme or colour. As Ed is a typographist, he tends to capture signs, graffiti, road markings and anything with lettering on.
Generally, I enjoy Ed Fella's work because I have noticed that he uses a lot of vivid colours which immediately caught my eye when I first began to research his work. Another thing I love about Fellas work is the vintage look to the photographs which he has taken using a Polaroid camera. This is another reason why I am engrossed in Fellas work because I also love using Polaroid cameras especially when the image prints and turns out better than expected because it makes the photo instant to look at instead of plugging the camera into a computer and printing it. The only element that I don't like about Fella's work is that the images often look the same due to the square collage style frames and the vintage look to the images, if Ed was to use a different style of filter for the images, for example a brighter font or potentially a filter that is far from the original image then this would revolutionise his work and make it appear like it isn't similar to previous photographs he has taken.
