Stephanie Gonot is a Los Angeles based photographer. she enjoys all things colourful, humorous and edible. she used to work in an ice cream sandwich truck. all of her work appears flat, resembling more like graphical pop art prints than photographs. she often constructs her images with repetition, layering and clever usage of shadows, with her selection of random but scrumptious appearing items making it very attractive to the eye.
Stephanie Gonot tends to use bright and colourful backgrounds in her work which brings out the colour in her objects. She tends to use patterns through her work and presents these as flat lays so that all the detail of the objects can be in plain sight. To make her work brighter Stephanie usually uses bright and colourful foods that people eat everyday. She uses bright foods that contrast with her bright coloured backgrounds to emphasize the foods and to make them stand out. Sephanie's work has a slight summer vibe to it which I like a lot because it is a contrast to original still life paintings which tended to be quite dark with no abstract colours.
I really enjoy looking at Stephanie's work because it is very eye catching with the vivid colous she uses in her work. Like Lizzie Darden, Stephanie uses a range of colours for her backgrounds which contrast to the food she uses. Stephanie tends to focus on creating food projects which I like because it allows food to be seen in a different way.
